Thomas Skripuletz

Thomas Skripuletz is Professor of Neurology and Senior Physician at Hannover Medical School, where he heads the Cerebrospinal Fluid Laboratory in the Department of Neurology. He is President of the German Society for Cerebrospinal Fluid Diagnostics and Clinical Neurochemistry (DGLN e.V.) and is actively involved in national and international clinical and scientific networks in neuroimmunology.
His research focuses on cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers and neuroimmunological and neuroinfectious diseases, with particular emphasis on multiple sclerosis, Neuro-Sjögren, CIDP and progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML). His work combines biomarker research with the development and clinical evaluation of novel immune-based treatment strategies. A major focus is the use of allogeneic virus-specific T cells for the treatment of PML.
Professor Skripuletz is Coordinating Investigator of the CurePML Phase II trial and leads clinical studies across a broad spectrum of neuroimmunological disorders and immune-mediated neurological diseases.
